Rescue Ride at the Ranch

 Join the festivities! Support Millers Equestrian Center & Sanctuary.

"Ride or Hike For a Reason” on November 14^th at Santa Margarita Ranch. 

From 10am – 1pm we will saddle up for a poker ride on the Ranch, a Joker ride in the arena or our 3 mile hike. 

At 12pm enjoy our Freestyle Dressage demonstration by Ellen Corob. 

Then from 1pm – 5pm bring your friends and family to enjoy wine, dining, live and silent auction, local vendors, children’s activities, music and dancing. 

Our live performer and musical entertainer will be Monte Mills.  

Trailer your horse in or reserve one of ours, ride and dine.

3 Hours of Fun For a Worthy Cause

Friday May 14^th, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm

Join us for an evening of fine wines paired with delectable Hors D’Oeuvres. 

Craig Shannon, winemaker of Per Bacco Cellars, will pair his incredible wines with fantastic appetizers by Big Sky Café and Mama’s Meat Ball restaurant.   

This evening will include discussions about Per Bacco Wines and the food pairings. 

There will be silent auctions and a raffle.

Giant Tack Sale

April 17th 10 am to 2 pm

If you have any horse related items, like books, toys, clothing, boots, helmets, etc, please submit your stuff to Erin to sell for you.  

Mark each item with your initials and the price you would like to get for the item. Make sure that this is securely attached to the item.  

Give the item to Erin on before April 17th. 

If you don't have any items, but need riding apparel, etc. ... Make sure you stop by on the 17th!

If your item is sold you will be paid, by 4/24.

Miller's does this as a service, but any donations are welcome.

Ultrasound for Equine Sports Injuries

News from Miller's Equestrian Center and Sanctuary Horsewise Meeting and Ultrasound Demonstration    Next Wednsday, February 3, at 6:00 PM  -put it on your calander. Everyone is welcome to come and view this interesting and valuable information. The ultrasound demonstration will be on the tendons of the leg and related to sports injuries (not reproduction). It will be very educational.  Dr. Sadie Daugherty will be performing the demo on one of Miller's horses. This demonstration is free to Volunteers and Horsewise Club members.  There will be a $15.00 for other observers.  Please RSVP so that we can save your spot. Hi Everyone! This is the update on our next clinic:

Barefoot Natural Hoof Care Clinic         Our next clinic is a Natural hoof care by Julianne Hoult   Sunday, January 24th   2010 at 1pm - 3pm.  Hidden Springs Ranch Cost is $15.00 (Made out to Miller’s) and includes handouts and refreshments Information on clinic: This clinic will cover the basics of natural hoof care, how to properly pick and care for the hoof, conformation of  the hoof, abscess prevention, abscess care and questions about your horses hoof problems. This is valuable information for every horse owner/student/volunteer.  If anyone wants more information about Barefoot Natural Hoof Care between now and then, they can visit Julianne’s website barefootnaturalhoofcare.com  there are some great links, information and photos.  Hope to see everyone there.
